About Me
Lexus Wilson currently works at WRAL-TV, the NBC affiliate in Raleigh, NC. Lexus joined the team in August 2016, where she serves as a news production assistant and a weekend assignment editor for WRAL News. She also currently works for Triangle Traffic Network in Raleigh, NC. Lexus joined the team in February 2017, where she serves as a morning and evening producer.
Lexus has completed packages while working with WRAL-TV , Time Warner Cable News and North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University television studio and Avid Lab where she also served as a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
Lexus desires to become a television reporter, anchor or television host telling informative and creative multimedia stories. She has an outgoing personality that is full of charisma that sets her apart from others. She is quick on her feet, always ready to learn, and comes prepared with a willing heart to give her all with any and every task she is given. Lexus works hard to meet every deadline but will do it with a smile at all times.

Work Experience
Lexus currently works at WRAL as a News Production Assistant and a Weekend Assignment Editor. This job allows her to be hands on behind the scene preparing for a successful newscast. She has mastered multitasking with the producers and directors as well as updating the staff on breaking news that needs to be reported. She makes beat calls, runs the teleprompter, prints and hands out scripts for the anchors, as well as handing out rundowns to the control room staff as well as shadow the reporters on her free time to add to her reel.

Lexus has interned with Time Warner Cable News as a sports reporter and producer. Traveled to colleges and high schools along side the residing reporter to conduct interviews such as games, tournaments and press conferences. Filmed and edited her stand ups after being out in the field covering games. She continued to complete packages, VOSOTs, VOs, B-Roll and capturing quality footage. She also had the privilege of working with the software Dalet in the newsroom. This hands on experience has strengthened her on air presence and writing skills.
Lexus worked along side news reporters and producers, assisting the team with administrative tasks with story pitches and suggested strong video elements and graphics that were used for news stories. She contributed to the script-writing process, and how the program was built from an editorial and production perspective. Attended editorial meetings to discuss assignments, due dates and publishing schedules.This internship with Time Warner Cable News has afforded Lexus to apply her classroom education to the real world.

Lexus currently works at Triangle Traffic Network as a Producer. This job allows her to construct and deliver timely and accurate reports to affiliate radio stations about traffic throughout the Triangle area which consists of Raleigh, Durham and Cary. She has mastered multitasking with other producers and on-air reporters. She assists with gathering traffic information by regularly monitoring scanner traffic and Department of Transportation traffic cameras.

Lexus was a host for the 20th Annual Bogier Gala in Cary, NC with a 1920's theme. Greeted each guest with a warm smile and conducted interviews as they arrived on the red carpet, such as Doctors, Pastors and Business Owners.
June 2017
Lexus was a host and commentator for the Skyline Hair Design & Fashion Showcase in Raleigh, NC with an all white theme. Entertained and commentated as the models walked the runway showcasing the latest hair and fashion apparel trends. Introduced the keynote speaker, designers and vendors.
